The Consultation
SINGLE-SESSION BOOK COACHING
Looking for a taste of book coaching without committing to a full package? Sign up for a single session where we’ll discuss your story, a challenge you’re facing and the goals you want to achieve. This is a great way to get to know each other and go over your high-level concerns at any stage of your writing. Before our conversation, I’ll send you a questionnaire about your story so I can see the big picture and identify any potential issues.
YOU’LL GET
- A 60-minute video or phone call where you can tell me about your book and the biggest issue that’s standing in your way. I’ll offer a high-level critique of your story’s framework and help you determine your next steps.
- A follow-up email to see how my feedback is helping and whether you’re sticking to your goals
WHY YOU WANT THIS:
- You want to see what book coaching is like before signing up for a full package
- You’re only looking for support for a single, simple issue
Investment: $79
Please note: single-session consultations can only be booked once per person. If, after your consultation, you’d like to discuss your project again, please book one of my more comprehensive coaching packages.

The Catalyst
Plan Your Novel
Every book starts with an idea that ignites the imagination and sets your creative mind on fire. But in order to keep the flames burning, you need to start with a plan that you know will get you to the end of your first draft, and together we’ll develop your story from a spark into a bonfire. Using a series of writing assignments, conversations and exercises designed to dig deep into not only your story but your reasons for writing it, you’ll come away with a fully realized outline and character profiles, but most importantly, the confidence to start writing.
YOU’LL GET
- Six weeks of weekly writing assignments designed to develop your story idea into a plan you feel good about, in a way that works for you (yes, even for pantsers!)
- Three biweekly 45-minute video or phone calls to discuss your progress, generate ideas and brainstorm through any trouble spots, and unlimited email access in between
- Resources including Author Accelerator’s Blueprint for a Book ebook
WHY YOU WANT THIS:
- You know you’ve got a great idea, but you don’t know how to turn it into a book
- You’ve started writing, but you keep getting stuck because you don’t know what happens next
- You know that having your ideas organized will make the writing process easier
- You’re a first-time author looking for guidance with novel planning and outlining
Investment: Six weeks and $800

I’ll motivate you to keep pushing forward, hold you accountable to the goals we’ll set together and give you feedback on your pages so you can spot issues early, all while cheering you on. You’ll see the results when your word count increases weekly!
YOU’LL GET
- Six deadlines (usually biweekly) to submit up to 20 pages of writing for developmental-edit-level feedback on your book’s plot, characters, worldbuilding, theme and narrative drive

Investment: $250 per deadline with a six-deadline minimum, and the option to go deadline-to-deadline afterward.

The Transfiguration
Developmental Editing
You’ve accomplished an incredible thing and completed the first draft of your book. The next step is a true metamorphosis from good to great. A developmental edit is a big-picture look at your story, a collaboration that sees us working together to sculpt the foundations of your manuscript into something that truly reflects your vision as a storyteller. I’ll evaluate your story arc, structure, character development, pacing and voice to give you a comprehensive picture of how your book works. I’ll also uncover any plot holes, issues with the narrative and inconsistencies in your characters’ behaviour or motivations. You’ll come away with a comprehensive manuscript critique and a revision plan you’ll be excited to start working on.
YOU’LL GET
- A full developmental edit of your entire manuscript, with in-line comments offering constructive feedback and suggestions
- An editorial letter (minimum four pages) outlining the issues and offering recommendations on how to solve them, as well as suggested next steps
- A 60-minute video or phone call to answer any questions you may have and help you make a plan to move forward
- Email support up to two months after you receive your edits for any further questions you may have about my feedback
WHY YOU WANT THIS:
- You need expert advice on all aspects of your story
- You know something’s not quite working, but you’re not sure what
- You’ve been through several rounds of revisions but you’re still struggling to pull your story together
- Your beta readers don’t have the expertise to point out your story’s flaws and/or only offer surface-level feedback
Investment: $30 per 1,000 words
